Welcome to Marathon Alpacas, we are an 80 acre farm with over 260 alpacas.  It is our goal to provide our customers with the highest quality of customer service and farm support. The owners and staff have a broad background of animal husbandry and business management.  When the decision was made to go into alpaca farming, they purchased the famous Chilean Aysen import herd.  After lengthy, dedicated study, and traveling around the country visiting farms, Marathon Alpacas began buying breeder males and breedings to the finest genetics in the world.  Some of the genetics that can be found here include Rolex, Scimitar, Bueno, Axion Jaxon, Black Mesquite, Jericho, Hemmingway, Dark Shadow, Snowmass Limited Edition, Snowmass Invincible, Royal Fawn, Shaquille and more!  We made a serious commitment to the show circuit and our show wins indicate that we are continuously improving our herd.  Our goal for our customers is to offer the opportunity for breeding improvement in both conformation and fleece quality.  Our stud fees to our breeding males are reasonable.  Plus, we offer a unique & special program to anyone who buys a female from us: At the time of purchase, the customer registers the names of all the breeding females that they currently own and these females can breed to any of our wholly owned studs for a fee of just $750.00.  What a deal! To complete the circle of offerings at Marathon Alpacas, we installed a state of the art Fiber Mill and we are now accepting fleece for processing from all over the country.  We guarantee a 90 day turnaround time on your fleece!  We can do any type of custom dying and blending desired as well as our standard processing.  Our price list and order sheet to send in with your fleece is on the Fiber Mill page of this website.  Farm visits and mentoring are always available.....we hope to meet you soon.
